I didn't know how fast an SD-card should be. The card that came with my electronics was delivered by G3D with the LCD panel.
So, it almost never wanted to eject and was terribly slow to write to. However, it seemed already correctly formatted.
Just before bed, right now, I re-formatted the card and now all the problems I had before are gone, so if anyone has their SD-cards, this is a tip to just reformat it once. Now the card can be taken out almost immediately after I tell the computer to disconnect the card. Before it took about 15 seconds and often the system would tell me the SD-card was still in use while it was not.
Before the 'eject SD card' option from Cura would not work, but after the format, this too now works flawlessly.
The correct filesystem should be Fat32 and the format has been performed on a Macbook Pro running OSX Mavericks.
