Hi all,
I've fine tuned the currents on the trim pots and still have this peculiar problem. The x-axis only moves when I touch the A4988 driver around the processing chip. Originally I thought this may be a heating issue, where my finger was required to absorb the excess heat, but now I've realised the solution is not touching the chip itself, but the pins around MS1-3, touching them seems to permit the stepper motor to work, though exactly which ones I'm not sure as I don't want to go around randomly shorting things out and find I blow up my Arduino! I've swapped motors and driver chips around and the problem remains exclusive to the x-axis, leading me to believe it's a RAMPS 1.4 issue. Any ideas?
Mark
