3dstuffmaker printer trouble shooting (2 replies)

Hi guys,

I have been having never ending extrusion problems with my eCreator evolution printer...

Basically i get poor flow regardless of what i do
Iv tried from 175c all the way upto 250c for the PLA, the recommended temp is 190-240c

So, I have tried to hand feed the PLA through my hot end, with great difficulty i can push it through at an extremely slow rate.
I have found putting it up to 250c its quite easy, still feed it slowly,

I am using 3mm PLA

I am considering changing the hot end, i have about 5 of them, the .7mm seems to work very well, but all the .4mm seem to always jam after a couple of prints and its very difficult to get working, i seem to leave it for a couple of days, come back and it starts to work.

I was going to buy the 1.75mm extruder assembly from 3dstuffmaker , Will this help ? was thinking the smaller diameter filament would be more efficient with power consumption and wastage...

Do you guys think its worth changing it from 3mm to 1.75 ??? will it make it easier to extrude PLA?

when the printer works on low temps, it works very well, prints are strong, gloss type of finish... but i have not been able to print much of anything except messy birds nests..
