Hi Development Team
I've just tested with Windows version 0.85b and the same behaviour occurs as with Linux v0.85c.
Forgot to mention I'm running Marlin on my Sanguinolulu, Linux flavour is Ubuntu, and Windows is XP. Don't think that should make a difference though.
Cheers

Subject: v0.85c Linux location indicator bug
To: Repetier
Hi,
I raised a bug with the z-location some time ago as a new bug in v84 (linux), but was told it wasn't a bug. I'm now using v85c, but I've still not been able to figure out the logic to it, so intermittently find that repetier drives the head into the bed or raises it a significant distance.
Here's what happens:-
1. Reset sanguinolulu location with G92 Z10
-> this causes Repetier to change it's z-location indicator to Z=-10.00
2. Reset sanguinolulu location with G92 Z10 again
-> this causes Repetier to change it's z-location indicator to Z=-20.00
repeat for further increments...
3. from z=-20.00: Raise head by 0.1mm with the manual 0.1 button
-> this causes Repetier to reset it's z-location indicator to Z=0.00
4. Lower the bed by as many steps as you like, and the indicator probably stays at Z=0.00, but might at some point reset to show a positive updated location and then count down correctly from there (I think this might sometimes be triggered as you pass though the original origin, but I'm not sure).
5. in v84 I used to get it sometime randomly moving the head to odd locations if I used G1 commands, but doesn't seem to have done that for a while (thus my original report, so this part of the bug="feature" may have been fixed)...
The same sort of thing also happens with the X and Y axes.
I'm sure this is a bug, not a feature as it makes no sense...
Cheers
David

Hi,
this is no bug, it was by intention. The host shows the real position relative to origin and not the coordinate in the G92 modified coordinate system. If you want to make the current position the new origin for the host you have to send

Hi,
Recently upgraded from (I think) v0.54 to the latest 0.84 (on Ubuntu) and now getting a minor bug which didn't happen previously. For all the axes if you manually send a G92 code, then click on the step buttons, the move is incorrect (ie -host doesn't update its current location correctly in response to the the G92 code.
Hope this is easy to fix, as I'm currently having to type in the G1 codes to make small steps when adjusting my axes.
Thanks
David
