5x NEMA17 steppers (link from IRC channel bot): $88
Ramps 1.4, Arduino and stepper boards: $123
Heated bed: $30
J-Head Mk V-B : $72
Filament's cheapest and easiest from Diamond Age.
I've zero vested interest in any of these sites - just interested in how cheaply one can get started in NZ. I would like to build a second "standard" printer as a get-you-started gift.
Buying a head instead of building basically means you're paying for R&D, which is just fine by me given that it's probably the most dimensionally critical component.
Cheapest set of vitamins, anyone? Cheapest printing option for the printable parts? Any pay-it-forward options in NZ?
