I'm new at this, so this might be something very basic I can't figure out :S
I'm done wiring the electronics to a gen6.d board, except for the printer heatbed. I just want to test the motors to see if they work fine. When I connect my printer to my computer and open pronterface, I search for the port I'm going to use but I only have these options:
/dev/tty.Bluetooth-PDA-Sync
/dev/tty.Bluetooth-Modem
/dev/cu.Bluetooth-PDA-Sync
/dev/cu.Bluetooth-Modem
None of them worked. It only says "Connecting" but never connects. I thought the name of the port to connect to the printer was supposed to be COM"number".
The gen6.d b board looks like it's working, I already tried thee USB cables, re installing pronterface, turning on and off printer, but nothing works. Could it be the firmware?
