Hello everyone, I just built my i3 few days ago, it's printing very smoothly except for this one problem I wish to solve.
When I turn on the temperuture on the hotend, the filament will start to come out even when I am not extruding.
During print, it leaves a small blob on the print when it's jumping to another path, and some times very thin lines.
I already set the retraction to 5mm, but what is the optimum retraction speed?
Another question I have is about the layer height, I have a 0.4mm J-Head, I read somewhere that it's best <80% of the nozzle diameter so it's 0.32mm for me, I tried printing a spiral vase at 0.2mm which turn out very good, but with normal objects it's not as good. So I'm guessing that it depends on the nature of the object that I'm trying to print.
Any help or tip is appreciated! Thanks!
