Another question about Repetier (1 reply)

I have downloaded the Recorder Flute from thingiverse. Section 3 is too tall to fit withing the constraints of my printer. I am trying not to print it lying down as this would create a 'flat spot' on a section of the flute. There is a function in Repetier that says cut. I see how the actual positioning of the cut works. But, does anyone know, once you have configured the cut, how to make it the only part that will print? When I slice the cut part, the whole flute section gets sliced. I need to have the section 2 in two pieces.
