No menu (no replies)

I just had to restore my Linux hard drive, and I think I got everything back the way it was. It's really painful forgetting all of the python packages and such you need to reinstall, but I'm having an issue with Slic3r. The .slicer directory form my old home directory did not get copied to the newly build system, so the first time I brought Slic3r up I was in simple mode. I wanted to try to convert to Expert mode, but I noticed there wasn't a menu, and therefore no way to activate expert mode. Undaunted, I exited the program, went into the .slic3r directory and edited the slic3r.ini file directly. All I changed was the work simple to the word expert.

Now I have expert mode, but I still do not have any menus. I don't know if this is a setting, or if something got corrupted in the whole machine switch exercise. I think I may try to download again and overlay the files that are there.
